Healthcare IT Operational Budgets Increased 3%
Becker's Hospital Review published an article Aug 25, 2011 written by
"Healthcare providers have grown their IT operational budgets by 3.1 percent since last year, according to a report by Computer Economics (pdf).
The "IT Spending and Staffing Benchmarks" report found that the healthcare sector is growing its IT operational budget at a rate greater than the composite sample. Computer Economics said IT spending by hospitals and integrated health systems is affected by the complex payment and reimbursement arrangements and strict security and privacy requirements."
